Pantone has spoken, 2016 will be the year of Rose Quartz and Serenity! That’s right, for the first time ever, Pantone has chosen two colors of the year, and who could blame them? We couldn’t decide between the two, either! We’re really loving this year’s color choice for a couple reasons, though.
Reason number one: Pantone is promising us that “joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.” So let’s put on these tranquilizing colors, a Michael Buble CD, and enjoy a relaxing year with our beautiful kids and family.
Reason number two: We started experiencing some boundary breaking when it came to gender rules this year, and Pantone is all for keeping it going. Society said “don’t typecast me” and Pantone said “I’m hearing you loud and clear.” As a result, we have these two colors that can be paired with endless options and will look great on any child. You can have fun matching Rose Quartz and Serenity with each other, “cream gold,” “lint,” “fig,” and so on until you get the perfect blend for your child.
